How marvelous is God’s beautiful Book! When god had mercy upon me, and rescued me from Satan’s bondages, truly everything changed. I carried the beautiful Authorized King James Bible—Old and New Testaments—with me everywhere I went. The whole Bible fit in my hip pocket. Whenever I had spare time throughout the day, I would pull out the beautiful Book and read. I would underline everything I found glorious. I stopped that exercise because I was underlining much of every page. This marvelous, living Book only opens to those with ears bowed down. No one else can understand its mysteries.
The Bible’s detractors assume they can see its incredible depths, but they are entirely oblivious to the reality that they are completely blind. These blind detractors have convinced their equally blind constituents that they can, in fact, see. Jesus speaks in Matthew 15:14:
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
But it doesn’tf have to be this way. John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
All the redeemed of God have experienced what Jesus Christ describes in Matthew 4:16:
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Oh, yes…we have seen the Light!
Dear visitor, have you yet to be BORN AGAIN as Jesus reveals in John 3:3?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
In just a few moments, I will invite you to follow me in a simple prompt, and if you follow from your heart, your blind eyes will be opened and you will see the Light. Today, all your sin and shame will be washed away by Christ’s cleansing blood. You will be completely clean. Today, all of Satan’s bondages in your life will be broken, no matter how terrible the sin. Today is your day! Move now! Here is the prompt I promised: Click onto Further with Jesus for childlike instructions and immediate entry into the Kingdom of God. NOW FOR TODAY’S SUBJECT.
GOD SAID, Genesis 9:18-19:
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
GOD SAID, Genesis 9:1-2:
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
GOD SAID, Genesis 4:10:
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother''s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
MAN SAID: If God—and that’s if there actually is a God—authored the Bible, why didn’t Genesis, the very first book, dazzle us with God-inspired truths?!
Now THE RECORD: Welcome to GodSaidManSaid feature 1272 that will once again prove the full, supernatural inerrancy of God’s beautiful Book. All of these God-focused features are archived here in text and streaming audio for your edification and to be used as ammunition in the battle for the lost souls of the sons and daughters of Adam. Every Thursday eve, God willing, they grow by one.
Thank you for visiting. May your love for the beautiful Book be magnified.
You have arrived at the GodSaidManSaid “Genesis Series;” this is Part 52. Each of these features begins with the following information from the first feature:
According to a 2006 issue of Discover magazine concerning the deceased Carl Sagan: “Sagan approaches religion like any phenomenon. He isn’t on a quest for life’s meaning, for a comforting philosophy, or even a guide to how we should treat the neighbors. Sagan seeks truth of a demonstrable kind. As a puckish example, he wonders why the book of Genesis didn’t include God-inspired truths…” [End of quote]
The BORN AGAIN scratch their heads in bewilderment. Did these folks actually read the book of Genesis?
The challenge was: If God did, in fact, author the Bible, why didn’t He include God-inspired truths in Genesis, the Bible’s very first book? This is the seventh in a bullet-point, multi-part summation of the Genesis Series, which will be formatted in an instant-replay fashion. If you haven’t, take some time to visit the features reviewed. You will not be wasting time. This information is staggering.
The Genesis Series took 45 weeks to catalogue; the summation of the series will take nine weeks. This is summation number seven, which will review features 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35.
💣 Feature #31: Shem, Ham, & Japheth
Genesis 9:18-19:
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
The subjects we are discussing overlap considerably, and some needed redundancy is required. It will not be wasted time.
This feature will focus on genetic proofs for the Genesis declaration, in particular on Noah’s three sons and their wives, as well as goats, sheep, and dogs. Was a measurable record left to support God’s account in Genesis? The answer is of course!
The following excerpt is from archaeologist David Rohl’s book, Legend: The Genesis of Civilization:
These nations, descended from the three sons of Noah, are listed in genealogical order. They include numerous small tribal groupings but also the most renowned peoples of ancient times—Israelites, Elamites, Assyrians and Arameans (through Noah’s eldest son, Shem); Egyptians, Cushites, Libyans, Phoenicians, Philistines, Amorites, and Babylonians (through Noah’s second son, Ham); and Medes, Persians, Greeks, Cypriotes, and all the peoples who dwell on the islands of the eastern Mediterranean (through Noah’s youngest son, Japheth). [End of quote]
The new, post-flood world was populated by the three sons of Noah and their wives, and the record certifies God’s account in Genesis. Yes, God-inspired truths.
Headline, February 8, 2016, AncientPatriarchs.WordPress.com reads, “Chinese Mythology Clarified by Miao Legend Confirms Noah’s Flood History!” Excerpts follow:
In yet another version of the more than 500 global flood stories, the Chinese legend tells how the world was swept by a Great Flood, and only Fu Xi and his sister NüWa survived. They then retired to Kunlun Mountain where they prayed for a sign from the Emperor of Heaven—God—or as He is called in Chinese, Shang Di.
Like the Chinese, the Miao are yet another ancient nation that remembers some of their earliest patriarchs. Not just that, but they possess surprisingly accurate recollections of the Creation, the Flood, and even the Tower of Babel and its confusion of languages! Many of the finer details of their accounts coincide almost identically with the Biblical record in Moses'''' Book of Genesis.
They were found to already possess this knowledge, in the form of ancient couplets, when they encountered Western missionaries for the first time.
According to the Miao, we all descended from the First Man, whose Miao name translated in English means “Dirt” or “Earth”—which is identical to the meaning of the name “Adam,” the first man in the Bible. One of Adam’s sons is called Seth, while Dirt’s son was called Se-Teh! The grand- and great-grandchildren of Seth are called Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah in Genesis. In Miao records, they are named Lusu, Gehlo, Lama, and Nu-Ah! Virtually identical names. And Nu-Ah was married to a lady called “Ga Bo Lu En.”
But that’s not all. Noah, who survived the great, worldwide flood, had three sons called Ham, Shem, and Japheth. In the Miao record, Nu-Ah also had three sons, called Lo-Han, Lo-Shen, and Ya-Phu. Again, virtually identical, with “Lo” meaning something like “Lao” in Chinese—meaning “old” or “venerable one,” like Lao Zi, for example, the famous father of Taoism. [End of quote]
When unbelief is cast off, God’s fingerprints are found everywhere.
The following excerpts are from the May 2008 feature from Acts & Facts called “Mitochondrial DNA and a Recent Human Origin:”
A team of scientists that includes Dr. Daniel Criswell of ICR has recently completed a study of mitochondrial DNA and will be presenting its work at this summer’s International Conference on Creationism.
Mitochondrial DNA has been used to develop several models of human origins. The Recent African Origins hypothesis (RAO) is currently the most popular model for human evolution. Although the RAO model has a number of significant technical problems and makes some assumptions that conflict with a biblical perspective, it contains several interesting tenets: 1) there was a single dispersal of mankind with three main mitochondrial lineages interspersed within clans; 2) the dispersion was centered in the Middle East in the recent past; 3) the dispersion was essentially tribal in nature, with small groups pushing deeply into previously uninhabited territory; [End of quote]
Science writer Brian Thomas writes under the heading, “Does Modern Genetics Confirm a Historical Adam?,” in the April 2016 issue of Acts and Facts:
Geneticists have found evidence for Eve in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). We inherit this kind of genetic code from our mothers, and it accumulates mutations like nuclear DNA does. Every person tested so far has one of three fundamental lineages, or versions, of mtDNA: M, N, or R. The wives of Noah’s three sons explain this intriguing detail of modern human genetics.
Keep in mind, there were seven pairs of clean animals, such as goats and sheep, and one pair of unclean animals, such as dogs and cats, selected to escape the world devastating flood.
The headline at SearchForTheTruth.net reads, “Goat/Sheep Match Biblical Record.” The following paragraphs are from that feature:
Tracing the DNA lineage of all humans back to an original source has revealed that all humans originally came from a single woman and a single man. This is no surprise to Christians who were told this thousands of years ago in the first chapters of the Bible. It has just taken modern science 6,000 years to catch up with what God told us in the Bible. But we have also traced the lineage of other creatures. For instance, DNA testing has now revealed that all living goats are descended from five original female goats and all living sheep are descended from three or four original females. But why multiple original pairs and not from one original goat or sheep pair? Once again, the Bible has the answer.
Noah was instructed by God to take only one male and one female of the unclean beasts upon the ark.
No matter where they search, they always end up here. Consider this excerpt from the July 13, 2013 issue of Science News, “Extinct wolf may have begat dogs:”
Researchers have long assumed that dogs branched off from a still-living wolf species. Geneticists have combed the world looking for wolf populations that most closely resemble dogs genetically, and concluded that dogs originated in the Middle East or Southeast Asia. [End of quote]
As you should suspect, the dog population today came from one male and one female on Noah’s Ark, which landed on the mountains of Ararat, which are located in Turkey, a Eurasian country that bridges southeastern Europe and southwestern Asia.
Shem, Ham, Japheth, sheep, goats, and dogs—of course.
💣 Feature #32: Fear & Dread
Genesis 9:1-2:
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
As a process of creation, God has created man to have dominion over all living things through a combination of the excellent wisdom and problem-solving creativity placed within man and through the fear and dread of man that God has placed upon His creatures. And certainly of crowning importance is that man walks and talks like God and is made in His image.
The concept of animal fear is addressed in an article titled "Thinking the Way Animals Do," by Temple Grandin, Ph.D., of the Department of Animal Science, Colorado State University. The article was published in the November, 1997, issue of Western Horseman. Concerning genetic design, Dr. Grandin had this to say:
In all animals, both genetic factors and experience determine how an individual will behave in a fear-provoking situation. Fearfulness is a stable characteristic of personality and temperament in animals. [End of quote]
An interesting thing about an animal''s fear is that when fear is experienced or placed in an animal, it can never be erased. Again, Dr. Grandin writes:
The fear circuits in an animal''s brain have been mapped by neuroscientists. When an animal forms a fear memory, it is located in the amygdala, which is in the lower, primitive part of the brain. J.E. LeDoux and M. Davis have discovered that fear memories cannot be erased from the brain. [End of quote]
The concept that fear cannot be erased was demonstrated with rats. According to the report cited in the article, when a rat was electrically shocked for the first time during entrance into a new passageway in a maze, it would never enter that passageway again.
God has preprogrammed and placed upon all land and aquatic creatures the fear and dread of man. This fear and dread is passed along genetically and neurologically. This programming includes an ability to detect man’s scent, and the ability to recognize that man is made in the image of God, walks upright like God, and that man speaks just like God. Did God place the fear and dread of mankind upon all the creatures of this globe?
In a feature titled “A Landscape of Fear of Humans,” American Scientist addresses research by ecologist Justine Smith, professor at the University of California, Davis. Excerpts follow:
Animals, even apex predators, take great pains to avoid people—a pervasive problem when these changes disrupt what they eat and where they go.
In recent years, ecologists have come to appreciate how much animals, even apex predators, fear humans, with myriad effects on animal behaviors and, in turn, ecosystems.
Wild animals, even the apex predators that we fear, are terrified of us. Smith didn’t just find that the puma was afraid; she showed that pumas feed far less when they hear human voices compared to frogs.
The paragraph heading in the May 6, 2019 feature “Ecology of Fear,” published by Current Biology Magazine, reads: “Fear of the human super-predator.” Several paragraphs follow:
New research on the ecology of fear is focusing on the impacts of animals’ fear of the human ‘super-predator.’ Experiments testing how fearful wildlife are of the human super-predator have demonstrated that impala, deer, European badgers and mountain lions fear hearing playbacks of humans (simply conversing calmly) far more than hearing the vocalizations of their non-human predators; and even elephants flee at hearing people speak.
The skeptics smugly challenge the Holy Scriptures demanding God-inspired truths in the book of Genesis—and there they certainly are: bold, beautiful, abundant, and inerrant. Nearly 4,000 years ago, God said animals would fear and dread humans, and today’s science confirms it—animals fear and dread humans, even a global and all-inclusive issue. God’s Word is true and righteous altogether, a place to build a life that will last forever.
💣 Feature #33: Thy Brother’s Blood
Genesis 4:10:
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother''s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
According to the Scriptures, life is in the blood and the shed blood of the innocent must be accounted for. Psalms 9:12:
When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
God makes inquisition for innocent blood that was shed and He says to Cain, "What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother''s blood crieth unto me from the ground." Nearly 6,000 years before man knew the reason why, the Creator of the universe said that blood could cry out from the earth. Today it would be commonly called forensic science and the "voice" of shed blood can be heard.
DNA analysis was first used in a criminal case in 1987. Since that time, its terms and scientific techniques have become common household knowledge. DNA information can be extracted from blood cells, semen, skin and hair cells.
Radford University criminology professor T.W. Burke said, "Forensic evidence can last forever." According to Burke, criminal investigators prefer "real" evidence (meaning forensic) rather than eyewitnesses because forensic evidence is more reliable.
Blood most certainly has a voice. The following paragraphs are from the feature, “#326 The Science of Blood: How Forensic Scientists Unravel Crime Scenes,” published by Tiago Vasconcelos, August 18, 2024. Keep in mind that God says that blood has a VOICE:
In the world of forensic science, blood is one of the most telling pieces of evidence at a crime scene. It speaks volumes, revealing details about the events that unfolded, the weapon used, and even the identity of those involved. Forensic scientists, particularly those specializing in blood analysis, play a crucial role in interpreting these clues, helping to reconstruct the crime and bringing perpetrators to justice.
Forensic scientists who specialize in blood analysis are vital in piecing together the story behind a crime scene. Through meticulous examination and advanced techniques, they transform bloodstains into powerful evidence that can make or break a case. As science and technology advance, so too does the ability of forensic experts to decode the silent, yet telling, testimony of blood.
Blood has a voice! The following excerpts are from an article titled, “Blood in Murder Investigations,” written by Siniša Franjic and published in The Journal of Law and Judicial Systems in 2019:
While becoming a certified bloodstain pattern analyst requires years of training and practice, the CSI can learn to examine blood spatter at the crime scene and determine direction of travel and a general location for area of origin of the impact. This understanding is important, because the interpretation of blood spatter patterns and other evidence at crime scenes may reveal important investigative information, such as the positions of the victim, assailant, and objects at the scene; the type of weapon that was used to cause the spatter; the number of blows, shots, stabs, and so on that occurred; and the movement and direction of the victim and assailant after the bloodshed began.
By applying the laws of physics, mathematics, and trigonometry, bloodstain pattern analysis can provide information that will assist the investigator in determining what events occurred, who was or was not present, and the validity of a self-defense claim by the suspected perpetrator. [End of quotes]
Blood does, in fact, cry out for justice, just like God’s Word declares in the very beginning. And now, predictably, here comes science to confirm it years later. Genesis, one God-inspired truth after another.
💣 Feature #34: Capital Offenses
Genesis 9:6:
Whoso sheddeth man''s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
The law of God laid down in the scriptures was the ruling structure of Israel. God''s Word established the entire governing system with all things revolving around the scriptures and the house of faith. In God''s laws is a list of death commandments, which would be known in today''s legal parlance as capital crimes, crimes punishable by death. Capital, as we are speaking of it, is derived from Latin, and it means the head, as in the highest part of man. Noah Webster''s 1828 dictionary defines capital as "punishable by the loss of head or of life; punishable with death." Death commandments, or the capital crimes of the scriptures, are crimes against society at large. These laws were and are perfect. These directives were written by God so that mortal men seeking God might have a modicum of peace and justice in a fallen world infected by Satan.
As a whole, it is embarrassing to the faith to see confessing Christians running from the Bible’s capital punishment directives, attempting to create a God of the smiley-face bumper sticker order. The Words of God are true and righteous altogether and should not be revised by those attempting to look genteel, sophisticated, and intelligent.
Some debate exists around the issue of Old Testament law and New Testament fulfillment. A good rule of thumb concerning the law would be:
1. The law is either fulfilled in Christ (such as the blood sacrifice) or carried over into the New Testament (such as "Thou shalt not kill.").
2. The vast, vast majority of the world cannot enjoy the benefits of fulfillment because they are not born-again.
3. Any country that would observe Mosaic law, such as the commandments governing moral conduct and dietary laws, would be greatly benefited.
A short list of death commandments, or capital crimes, punishable by death would include:
● Murder
● Rape
● Man stealing
● Adultery
● Homosexuality
● Bestiality
● Witchcraft
● Idolatry
● BlasphemyIn 1972, capital punishment was banned in the United States but reinstated by the Supreme Court in 1976. During the abolishment of the death penalty in the U.S., the murder rate increased 100%. Human Events published the following statement by J.L. Jones: “The idea that capital punishment ‘deters no one’ does not explain the rapid rise of homicides in America while the death penalty was virtually outlawed. Deterrent or not, it effectively eliminates the possibility of a repeat crime.” [End of quote]
Concerning repeat crimes, this following excerpt is from the 1988 Standard Law Review: “Of the roughly 52,000 state prison inmates serving time for murder in 1984, an estimated 810 had previously been convicted of murder and had killed 821 persons following their previous murder convictions. Executing each of these inmates would have saved 821 lives.” [End of quote] God’s commandment of capital punishment is correct. One particular study shows that convicted criminals, at a ratio of five to one, believe that the death penalty would deter them from murdering their victims.
According to the ACLU death penalty campaign statement, as reported by The New American, “A review of death penalty judgments over a 23-year period found a national error rate of 68%,” [End of quote] The New American responded to this study as follows:
Correction: The major media reported this highly publicized Columbia University study uncritically when it was first released in 2000. But Reg Brown from the Florida governor’s office exploded it: “The ‘study’ defines ‘error’ to include any issue requiring further review by a lower court.... Using the authors’ misleading definition, the ‘study’ does, however, conclude that 64 Florida post-conviction cases were rife with ‘error’—even though none of these Florida cases was ultimately resolved by a ‘not guilty’ verdict, a pardon, or a dismissal of murder charges.” Brown noted that even political overturning of death penalty cases added to the figure. “The nearly 40 death penalty convictions that were reversed by the California Supreme Court during the tenure of liberal activist Rose Bird are treated as ‘error cases’ when in fact ideological bias was arguably at work.” Paul G. Cassell of the Wall Street Journal explained how the 68 percent figure is deceptive: “After reviewing 23 years of capital sentences, the study’s authors (like other researchers) were unable to find a single case in which an innocent person was executed. Thus, the most important error rate—the rate of mistaken executions—is zero.”
Again, The New American article engaged the claims that the death penalty is racist. It reads:
The claim that the death penalty unfairly impacts blacks and minorities is a deliberate fraud. The majority of those executed since 1976 have been white, even though black criminals commit a slim majority of murders. If the death penalty is racist, it is biased against white murderers and not blacks.
God’s perfect commandment in this imperfect world does at least the following:
1. It deters murder.
2. The families whose loved ones have been slain see the final chapter of their terrible ordeal written, and the book closed.
3. Innocent blood is accounted before God.
The God of the Bible is perfect and His judgments are true. The commandment of capital punishment is just another proof that God is.
💣 Feature #35: The Rainbow
Genesis 9:11-13:
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
One year ago, GodSaidManSaid published the feature “A Tropical Paradise—Amazing!” in this Genesis Series. In Genesis 1:6-8, God’s Word describes the making of a water canopy that encircled the earth, situated above the sky—a phenomenal, God-inspired truth. The water canopy was rained down upon the earth in the days of Noah.
There certainly was a water canopy. Creation scientists have theorized the results of such a water canopy, answering the question, “what would we see?”
In the feature just referenced, we addressed the water canopy and also introduced the rainbow. The rainbow, which God calls the token of the covenant, is the bridge between the world-ending flood and the mercy of God and earth’s new beginning. In the Genesis Series, we have arrived at the rainbow.
The redeemed will see the rainbow again:
Revelation 4:2-3:
2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
In Genesis 9, God sees His rainbow in the cloud and remembers His covenant with man and the earth, and as we get a glimpse of eternity, He sits upon His throne with the rainbow all about and surely remembers His covenant, eternal grace with His redeemed. It is so comforting.
During the 1,656 years preceding the global flood in the days of Noah, things were dramatically different than they are today and one of the major differences was a water canopy that existed above the sky or firmament. It is important to note that prior to the flood of Noah there is no record of rain.
Genesis 2:5-6:
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
God watered the earth with a mist. The first record of rain is in the days of Noah when God opened the windows of heaven. Note that the token of the covenant God gave to Noah, which assured Noah that He would not destroy the whole earth again by a flood, was a rainbow. A rainbow appears to be something Noah had never seen before.
In his Study Bible, Dr. Henry Morris notes the following concerning the rainbow:
9:13 my bow: The rainbow, requiring small water droplets in the air, could not form in the pre-flood world, where the high vapor canopy precluded rain (2:5). After the flood, the very fact that rainfall is now possible makes a worldwide rainstorm impossible, and the rainbow “in the cloud” thereby becomes a perpetual reminder of God’s grace, even in judgment.
The water canopy was rained down upon the earth. According to some scientists, a water canopy of that magnitude would have had very powerful benefits. One benefit would have been a greenhouse effect, making the whole world tropical. For example, if you had a greenhouse, you could have tropical temperatures inside and frigid temperatures outside. So then the water canopy God describes in Genesis would have provided a balmy tropical temperature as one of its benefits, and it would have encompassed the globe. Every day would have featured a beautiful, rainless, cloudless, postcard sky. However, immediately after God opened the windows of heaven and rained down that water canopy, the greenhouse effect ended and the north and south poles went into an immediate, deep freeze. According to an AP science writer, and I quote, ’The frigid Arctic regions were as balmy as present-day Florida some 90 million years ago according to researchers who found fossils in northern Canada of a crocodile-like animal.
The AP science writer was only half right. Balmy temperatures, yes. Ninety million years ago, no.
Many of God’s critics, being willingly unaware of the benefits of the water canopy, have ridiculed the tremendously long lives of those who lived before Noah’s flood, before the end of the water canopy. Methuselah, the oldest Bible man who ever lived, reached the ancient age of 969 years. The average pre-Noah lifespan was 912 years, or 13 times longer than we live today. Imagine living in a perfect tropical atmosphere: perfect air, perfect water, perfect diet, without harmful effects from the sun. The obvious result would be a long, long, healthy life — 13 times longer. The famed historian, Flavius Josephus, who wrote just after Christ’s life here on the earth, recorded the life span of the ancients reaching up to 1,000 years. He refers directly to ancient historians such as Manetho, Berosus, Mockus, Hestiaeus, Hieronymus, Hesiod, Hecataeus, Hellanicus, Acusilaus, Ephorus, and Nicolaus, who attest to these phenomenal life spans.
If you still find 912 average years simply too fantastical, consider that one of today’s scientific theorists claims someone alive today will live to be 1,000 years old, due to medical science.
The dinosaur is a reptile and it does something that we can’t do: it never stops growing. In ’A Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians,’ which is part of the Peterson Field Guide Series, sponsored by the National Audubon Society and National Wildlife Federation, I found the following statement:
Size: Reptiles and amphibians may continue to grow as long as they live, rapidly at first but more slowly after maturity. Hence, giant specimens may be encountered on very rare occasions. [End of quote]
The older it is, the bigger it gets. Note, before the water canopy was eliminated, the average lifespan was 13 times longer than it is today. Remember, the air was pure, the water clean, and diet near perfect. There were no harmful rays from the sun and the lifespan was 13 times longer. Consider the present-day Chinese Iguana that grows as large as 12 feet long. Suppose before the flood, in a near perfect environment, the iguana would have lived 13 times longer, and because it never stops growing, would become 13 times bigger. That Chinese Iguana would be 156 feet long and about three stories tall. Dinosaur — terrible lizard. The dinosaur is simply a giant lizard which was created by God in the same six-day span as man.
It''s true: The reptile never stops growing, fast at first and slower as it ages. This is not a perfect example, but it elucidates the point of pre-flood life.
GodSaidManSaid excerpted several features that tell of a tropical climate that existed even at the North Pole. In one example, Purdue University News reports:
The models fail to explain another puzzling fact. The temperature difference between the North Pole and the equator today is about 45 degrees C (113° F). But the difference appears to have been much smaller during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum time frame. Otherwise, it would have been too hot for vegetation to survive in equatorial latitudes.
"We still haven’t explained why the tropics stayed cool," Huber said. "Somehow, we have to explain how you can warm the poles up to 23 degrees Celsius (73.4° F) without having the tropics rise to at least 50 degrees (122° F), which is 10 degrees too hot for plants to carry out photosynthesis."
He said the implications are troubling because current models may be providing optimistic predictions.
"Today’s models under predict how warm the poles were back then, which tells you something disturbing — that the models, if anything, aren’t sensitive enough to greenhouse gases," Huber said. "At the same time, it is possible that other forces in addition to higher- than-normal greenhouse gas concentrations were involved, otherwise we can’t explain how the tropics maintained livable conditions. [End of quote]
Scientists are flummoxed. How can this be? The answer, of course, is recorded in God’s Book (in particular Genesis). Purdue researcher Huber was on the right track when he said, "At the same time, it is possible that other forces...were involved."
Dr. Snelling writes the following in his book, Genesis Flood Revisited:
If a pre-Flood vapor canopy did exist, then the computer simulations substantiate the claim that under canopy conditions it is quite likely that there would have been no rain on the earth’s surface prior to the Flood. Indeed, there is a consensus that under canopy climatic conditions, the earth’s surface would have been watered by “mists,” exactly as stated in Genesis 2:6. Described as going up from the earth, it has been implied that these mists may have been due to the process of evaporation from both land and water surfaces on the pre-Flood earth. [End of quote]
Of course, this brings us, once again, to the rainbow. Be of good cheer, child of God! God’s Word is the inerrant truth. What a beautiful Book!
