Can you find peace in a stressful world?
Hear what GOD SAID:
Isaiah reveals a gargantuan revelation in chapter 26, verse 3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Those who are believers in, and followers of Christ Jesus, have the promise of perfect peace, which is the elimination of fear, frustration and stress. Jesus Christ says, (in Matthew, chapter 11, verses 28-29) "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."
Again God's Word records (in Philippians, chapter 4, verses 6-7):
Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Note that this peace of God passeth all understanding.
GOD SAID, Jesus Christ alone is the source of peace and rest—confident tranquility.
Jesus Christ is known as the Prince of Peace.
Isaiah chapter 9, verse 6:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
He is the solution—the permanent, everlasting solution.
MAN SAID: Fear, frustration, and stress are serious human problems and we consistently seeks solutions outside the God-said paradigm. MAN SAYS the Bible was merely written by men; that men created God; or that the Bible is archaic and of no valid purpose in this modern, enlightened world.
Man has attempted to alleviate the ravages of stress, but the problem has only accelerated into an ever-growing social devastation. Many substitutes to the scriptures have been offered—positive thinking techniques, meditation, yoga, and sundry New Age remedies—but none has come close to competing with God's Word.
Pseudo-medical science has literally converted millions of people into walking zombies with mind-altering drugs, addicting them for life.
It is common knowledge that stress unchecked is a killer. In a June 14, 1999, Newsweek article, titled "Stress," the lead paragraph states, "A whole new body of research shows the damage stress wreaks on the body: not just heart disease and ulcers, but loss of memory, diminished immune function and even a particular type of obesity."
Dr. Sheldon Cohen conducted a study in 1991 at Carnegie Mellon University linking stress to immune dysfunction. He ran the study again in 1998. Test people were chosen and intentionally infected with a respiratory virus. Those who experienced chronic stress—ongoing conflicts with co-workers or family members, for example—increased their odds of getting sick by 300 to 500 percent.
Men who said they were highly stressed were 60% more likely to have heart attacks and strokes than their unstressed counterparts.
Billions upon billions of dollars have been, and will be, spent for medical care because of the ravages of stress, simply because man has rejected the only solution—Jesus Christ.
Because Jesus Christ created all things by the Word of His Father (Hebews, chapter 1, verse 2), He is the center of the universe and of our anatomies. Therefore, He is the solution to stress. Stress problems receive solutions in Christ Jesus.
GOD SAID, MAN SAID, now you know THE RECORD.
